One of my most vivid childhood memories was to see the Queen and Prince Phillip drive past in the 1977 Silver Jubilee Motorcade on the way from Manchester to Liverpool. I was standing on Prescot Road, St Helens close to my home. The Queen has played such a prominent part in so many peoples memories.
